Brief Synopsis is a required field in KR PD. Data in this field can help provide transparency on the types of research being conducted at CSU and is used for reporting purposes. 

The information entered here should include project details that are not readily available from other data fields in KR (such as the Project Title or Activity Type). For example:

• Key words or phrases that might provide additional context for the proposed project (e.g., healthy aging, aging adults, senior fitness programs)
• Project locations or collaborations not specified in the Project Title or Performance Site Locations (e.g. 24-hour Fitness, SilverSneakers, Montezuma County, Colorado)

Sources of information for this field may include the project summary or abstract, scope of work, or a simplified project description written in layman’s terms. 

Information in this field can be words or phrases (e.g., aging adults, healthy aging, senior fitness programs, SilverSneakers, Montezuma County, Colorado) or can be in paragraph form (e.g., This project will examine the benefits of a senior fitness program, SilverSneakers, on the overall health of aging adults in Montezuma County. Colorado). The only limitation is a 500-character limit (~30 words).
