Sample preparation is performed with a Titan MPS (PerkinElmer, Waltham, MA) 16 position microwave preparation system.
Mass Spectrometry:
Ionomics analysis is performed via NexION 350D mass spectrometer (PerkinElmer, Waltham, MA) connected to a PFA-ST (Elemental Scientific, Omaha, Nebraska) nebulizer and a peltier controlled (PC3x, Elemental Scientific) quartz cyclonic spray chamber (Elemental Scientific) set at 4°C. Samples are introduced using prepFAST SC-2 (Elemental Scientific) autosampler.
