Ram Reality Classes

The RamReality Classes are making it easier than ever to start learning about mixed reality technologies. We are offering beginner level classes to make getting started with creating immersive experiences interesting and accessible for everyone.

All classes are free and open to the public.

Unreal Engine 4 Tutorial | September 5 & October 3 | 5:30-6:30 PM

A two-part tutorial about Unreal Engine 4. This exciting engine allows you to deploy games, VR/AR applications, and much more without coding (if desired). It uses blue-print, a block-based diagram that allows to interact with the 3D editor. If you ever wanted to have the power of a AAA studio in your hands and have seen the limitations of Unity, this is the time. You will learn how to use the editor and blue prints.

Intro to XR Technologies | September 6 & October 4, 2019 | 2-3 PM

As one of the fastest growing technologies, virtual and augmented reality can be intimidating or confusing to start using. This class will cover an overview of VR/AR, the different types of headsets available, how to use them, and a chance to try it out for yourself!

Getting Started with Unity | September 19 & October 17 | 5:30-6:30 PM

Learn how to get started with the Unity Game Engine. Used throughout the academic and professional world to build immersive interactive experiences for any field. Please bring a laptop with Unity installed.

Adding VR to Unity | September 26 & October 24 | 5:30-6:30 PM

Take the next steps into making a immersive VR application with the Unity Engine. Learn how to add basic VR functionality to Unity using the SteamVR plug in. No coding required!
