IACUC Meeting Dates and Submission Deadlines
All animal use for research, testing, or teaching under IACUC purview requires IACUC review and approval PRIOR to initiation. PIs need to submit an IACUC protocol via the online protocol system with sufficient time for the IACUC to review and approve. This process may occur at a convened IACUC meeting, also known as Full Committee Review (FCR), or via Designated Member Review (DMR), which may occur at any time during the month and does not wait until the IACUC meeting. Deadlines to submit protocols for the monthly IACUC meetings are listed in the table below.
Please Note: Protocols that include procedures that fall under USDA Pain Category B or C typically go through DMR and can be submitted at any time during the month. However, the IACUC makes the final determination as to whether DMR is appropriate.
NEW PROTOCOL SUBMISSION DEADLINES 2019
Applications are due by NOON on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. The meeting date is the 4th Tuesday of each month. Protocols must be submitted via eProtocol.
If an application is submitted after the deadline, please be aware that it will not get reviewed until the next month’s meeting. If you have additional questions about this matter, please contact the Senior IACUC Coordinator.
