About the Partnership for Air Quality, Climate & Health (PACH)
Colorado State University scientists conduct cutting-edge research in air quality, climate, and health. Our team’s goal is to ensure that this research is synthesized and communicated effectively to various stakeholders who wrestle with problems that encompass these three areas.
To accomplish this goal, team members will leverage knowledge gained from previous and ongoing research projects and will embark on new, interdisciplinary research that is driven by stakeholder needs. Our stakeholders include individuals, business/industry, nonprofit organizations, and all levels of government.
Our Vision
A CSU Partnership, reaching inward and outward, that provides comprehensive science-vetted information in useful form to stakeholders in air quality, climate, and health issues. The Partnership envisions implementing a structure and support facility that integrates CSU-wide capabilities in air quality, climate, and health in a comprehensive and synergistic way, and that focuses on communicating to stakeholders scientific findings relevant to their unique challenges. The Partnership will enable and foster policy-relevant research aimed at filling knowledge gaps identified jointly with our stakeholders, and will focus on effective partnering to formulate, plan, conduct and disseminate our knowledge in useful formats.
Our Goal
The main goal of our partnership is to disseminate the information related to the issues in air quality, climate, and change in a format that can effect change. This will done be done be creating partnerships and collaborations with other CSU experts, identifying our stakeholders, identifying and soliciting donors, translating these scientific issues for a broad-scale audience, and communicating these issues to users in order to effect change.
The goals of the Partnership, in its translational role, is to add value to this scientific information from CSU (and from the broader scientific community) and interactively provide it to users in ways that they can understand it, plan with it, and act on it.
