Scot leads CSU efforts in compliance with ITAR and other federal laws and regulations around export control. The Secure and Global Research group provides education to CSU faculty and staff, reviews sponsored research projects, creates technology management plans, seeks federal licenses when necessary, reviews contracts and agreements, offers travel advice, supports international shipments, reviews international scholar visas, and conducts restricted party screening. Scot also serves as the Facility Security Officer. His group works with faculty and staff to develop international research opportunities.

Ann Marie fosters philanthropic and private sector research support for Colorado State University, focusing on interdisciplinary programs under the Office of the Vice President for Research. These include the Energy Institute, Powerhouse Energy Campus, Catalyst for Innovative Partnership teams, Virtual Reality Initiative, Infectious Disease Research Center, and more.
Ann Marie leads the Research & Interdisciplinary Programs fundraising team. She has 11 years’ experience, seven years at CSU. She has worked with corporate and foundation partners throughout her career. Professional accomplishments include the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification and the Institute for Leaders in Development program at the University of Denver. She holds a B.A. in English from The College of Wooster and is earning an M.S. in Organizational Leadership from CSU-Global.

Linda serves as the Executive Assistant to the Vice President for Research. She has been a member of the OVPR leadership team since 2008 providing support to internal and external constituents of the research community.
Patsy Harlan serves as an Executive Assistant for the Office of the Vice President for Research. She provides support to the Associate Vice President for Research, the Assistant Vice President for Strategic Initiatives and others.

Lauren serves as the Director of Communications and Events leading her team to plan and implement multi-media communications for the Office of the Vice President for Research. She also oversees research related events, the CSU Virtual Reality Initiative, and coordinates the VPR Graduate Student Fellowship Program.

Doug is a Certified Public Accountant, holds an M.B.A. in Finance/Economics, Green Belt in Six Sigma practices and has been involved in research administration at major research institutions for over 19 years. He has implemented ERP accounting systems, negotiated facilities and administrative, fringe benefit and specialized service facility rates. Doug’s 17 years industry experience includes extensive involvement in process improvement, cost and financial accounting in high technology manufacturing environments. He also spent over eight years as an adjunct faculty member teaching a variety of accounting courses.
Emma provides web support for all departments of the Office of the Vice President of Research and serves to update and maintain all OVPR websites. She ensures web accessibility, generates content, produces images, and ensures that search engine optimization best practices are followed.
