class=\"stalwart-card-excerpt\"><p>Holmes Rolston III, University Distinguished Professor and professor Emeritus in the Department of Philosophy at Colorado State University, is widely known as a founding father of environmental ethics as a formal study, but in his personal life he was known as a man with a deep interest in moss.
