Researchers need to understand federal cost accounting standards because:
A) 30% of the dollars spent at CSU comes from federal, state and private grants and contracts with specific conditions regarding how monies may be spent.
B) Cost accounting errors can be extrapolated to the population within the university as a whole, so a $5000 error on billing a laptop computer to a grant could end up costing the university hundreds of thousands of dollars.
C) The indirect costs associated with the direct cost of a grant are an important contribution supporting the CSU infrastructure.
D) The public has the right to know that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely, and in a fair and transparent manner.
E) All of the above
