{"id":4625,"date":"2021-09-14T10:00:02","date_gmt":"2021-09-14T16:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.research.colostate.edu\/osp\/?p=4625"},"modified":"2021-09-14T10:00:02","modified_gmt":"2021-09-14T16:00:02","slug":"kr-pd-roles-refresher","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.research.colostate.edu\/osp\/2021\/09\/14\/kr-pd-roles-refresher\/","title":{"rendered":"KR PD Roles Refresher"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.research.colostate.edu\/osp\/osp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/elementor\/thumbs\/ram-logo-o3t3tdrk4nwpuk5ivtge9snouacqrzxpmncs3umwd8.png\" title=\"ram-logo.png\" alt=\"CSU Ram Logo\" \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Access to KR PD records is handled three ways: <br \/>\u2022 The system allows the person who creates a KR PD record to open it in view or edit mode, and allows named key personnel to open in view mode.<br \/>\u2022 The person who creates a KR PD record or another proposal aggregator can assign proposal-specific view or edit roles in the Access section of the KR PD record.<br \/>\u2022 OSP can assign additional roles at the department (\u201cunit\u201d) level for proposal creation, editing, and viewing.<\/p>\n<p><b>Proposal Creator<\/b><\/p>\n<p>By default, any active CSU employee can create a KR PD record for their \u2018home\u2019 unit. This information pulls from the primary appointment indicator in the CSU HR system, which feeds basic person information into Kuali Research.<\/p>\n<p>For department research administrators who need to create proposals for one or more of their college\u2019s departments, or for researchers who have dual\/multiple appointments, the role of Proposal Creator has to be requested for non-\u2018home\u2019 units, so that the Lead Unit field for a KR PD record shows more than one option during the record creation process.<\/p>\n<p><b style=\"font-size: 1.1em\">Unit Aggregator<\/b><\/p>\n<p>By default, only the person who creates a KR PD record can open it in edit mode.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>For departments that have multiple people creating proposal records, or for college-level business officers who need to be able to edit any proposal for one or more departments in the college, the role of Unit Aggregator has to be requested.<\/p>\n<p>Unit Aggregator is a view\/edit role only.
