While there may be sales to University departments, sales should never be to CSU sponsored accounts, nor should there be any Federal sponsored activity in the 22 account. Unique situations should be reviewed by the Office of General Counsel and the Office of Sponsored Programs.<\/p>\n<p>GENOP funds may be used to meet a sponsored cost share obligation. In order to use 22 funds as cost sharing, funds should be moved from the 22 account to a 16 (or other unrestricted) account.<\/p>\n<p>In general, operations in this sub-fund are linked to one or<br \/>more of the following activities: \u00a7<br \/>Instructional or laboratory experiences for students \u00a7 Laboratory experiences for<br \/>students in support of research \u00a7<br \/>Public services provided to the external community using the expertise of the<br \/>professional staff of a land-grant institution (such services not generally<br \/>available from private industry in Colorado) \u00a7 General on-campus services provided as part of the<br \/>overall administration of the University (e.g., parking management).<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Bottom line<\/em><\/strong><em>: GENOP (22) accounts are for external services, there should not be Federal sponsored activity in the 22 account, GENOP funds may be used to meet a cost share requirement.
