Who We Are:

Colorado State University (CSU) takes pride in its long history of teaching, research, and support of the community and state. The tradition of research and service can be traced back to the University’s earliest beginnings and continues today with Colorado State’s reputation as one of the major research institutions in the United States. As primary coordinating office for externally funded activities, the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) represents the University for those involved in sponsored activities. Among the services provided by OSP are:

  • Reviewing, approving, and submitting proposals
  • Reviewing, negotiating, and monitoring awards, subawards, and non-financial agreements
  • Providing assistance for administrative management of awards, including invoicing, financial reporting, effort reporting, project close-out, and record retention
  • Ensuring compliance with sponsor terms and conditions, University policies, and federal regulations and requirements related to financial management of sponsored projects
  • Working closely with Business and Financial Services (BFS) on annual audits and assisting on individual sponsored project award audits
  • Communicating regulatory, sponsor, and Institutional policy and procedural updates through the OSP website, training activities, and use of e-communications
  • Facilitating user interaction with multiple electronic systems pertinent to research administration
