Colorado State University seeks to expand defense-related collaborative research and assist in meeting the defense community’s complex needs

The Office of Defense Engagement (ODE), inspired by CSU’s land-grant heritage of education, research, service and extension, facilitates and provide leadership for collaborative research opportunities, distributes information, and provides assistance to benefit the defense and academic communities through shared interests, expertise, and cooperation.

The ODE reports to CSU’s Vice President for Research and Provost and is housed in the Office of the Vice President for Research. The ODE’s focus and experience can increase researchers’ competitiveness for Department of Defense support and foster engagement with other federal and non-governmental organizations with missions that include enhancing global stability and security.

One of ODE’s priorities is to engage more graduate and undergraduate students in Department of Defense-sponsored research.
