Graduate Certificates in Global Stability

The Office of Defense Engagement administers three graduate certificates in applied global stability, which are offered through CSU’s School of Global Environmental Sustainability.

The 12-credit certificates are offered either online or in residence. Students may choose to concentrate on agriculture, natural resources, or water resources.

The certificate in agriculture focuses on topics that include but are not limited to sustainable agriculture, urban horticulture, animal agriculture, food systems, and bioenergy. The natural resources certificate emphasizes military lands management, natural resources policy, and sustainable infrastructure. The certificate in water resources centers on water resources planning and management, engineering hydrology, and irrigation systems.

The three certificates are designed to meet the global stability needs of senior non-commissioned officers and mid-career officers in the Department of Defense, others in the special operations and civil affairs communities, and members of the US Agency for International Development, Peace Corps, and other organizations that address sustainable development.
