ABOUT

Lon received his veterinary degree from Colorado State University. He went on to complete a residency in laboratory animal medicine and completed his graduate work in veterinary pathobiology at the University of Missouri-Columbia. After becoming board certified in laboratory animal medicine and completing his graduate degree, Kendall gained substantial experience at UC Davis serving in various capacities including Associate Director of the Comparative Pathology Laboratory, Director of the Center for Laboratory Animal Science and Campus Veterinarian. In 2008 he returned to Colorado State University as the Associate Director for LAR. He serves on the CSU IACUC and IBC, and is involved in the Comparative Medicine Training Program which enrolls three post-DVM trainees in a program that is jointly supported by the OVPR, CVMBS, and MIP.  Kendall’s research interest include host immune response to infectious diseases and science based standards for laboratory animal care. He is a member of several national laboratory animal associations and an ad hoc consultant for AAALAC.
