Tech Skills for Older Adults is a technology help class designed for older adults. This session will cover essential functions of smartphones and tablets, including the power and volume buttons, ringer, SIM card slot, home screen, lock screen, notification center, and control center. Participants will also learn to recognize and understand the purpose of common icons on apps and websites, such as download, menu, and share icons.
The class is limited to smartphones and tablets, not laptops. Each session begins with a 30-minute presentation on the topic, followed by hands-on practice with volunteers assisting in small groups to reinforce new skills. This event is presented in partnership with CSU’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI).
