Analytical Solutions Workshop with Perkin Elmer: FTIR microscopy, microplastics and other materials analysis techniques

We’re excited to invite you to an upcoming Analytical Solutions Workshop hosted by PerkinElmer and ARC on Wednesday, June 25, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM here at CSU (Microbiology Room C116).

This session will spotlight a FTIR microscope, a new analytical tool soon to be available in the ARC for microstructure and chemical composition analysis of microplastics, polymers, and other materials.

The workshop will cover:

  • Intro to FTIR and advanced sampling techniques
  • FTIR microscopy applications in microplastic and material analysis (NEW in ARC!)
  • Hyphenated techniques (TGA-DSC-FTIR-GC/MS) for comprehensive materials analysis linking thermal behavior with chemical composition
  • Q&A with PerkinElmer experts
